Exploring the Methods of Homeopathy: Integrative Homeopathy – Part 5

We have been exploring the different methods of using homeopathy.

So far we have covered:

There are a few more that I have come across and may write later on:

  • CEASE method
  • Homeoprophylaxis

Today, I’m writing about the method that I feel is the up-and-coming method of how to use homeopathy in this modern era. It has helped me personally, my mom and every member of the Joulfaian clan in a lasting way. By far, it is my favorite way of using homeopathy.

What is Integrative Homeopathy?

Using Homeopathic principles along with homeopathic remedies, organ support, nosodes, tissue salts, homeopathic detox, a variety of methods, and possibly other healing modalities in order to best stimulate the body to heal itself.

How I stumbled onto Integrative Homeopathy

It was 2019, the year before Covid 19 rocked the world, and I was on the hunt for a new homeopath. My local homeopath had moved away and the constant brain fog, lack of energy and headaches were killing me. I was desperate and needed a new homeopath. During my google searches, Katie’s website popped up. Instantly I was intrigued. I loved that she was a Christian, wanted to heal naturally and found a way to help so many people as I saw by the many testimonials that covered her site. My mom reached out and got on her waiting list. I didn’t think more of Katie and went on to try another classical homeopath.

Fast forward to 2021, Katie had room in her schedule and started treating me homeopathically. We would meet, I would share what was going on and she would test through a several remedies that we would go up and down in potency in. Some remedies were to support my body while others were to detox me from the different toxins that I had been exposed to. She gave me multiple remedies to take on a weekly basis at the same time.

She encouraged me to study homeopathy and I signed up for the same school that she went through. My mom and I also took classes from Katie throughout our studies, loving how her method of case taking and using remedies made chronic case taking easier to wrap our minds around and giving us confidence to try remedies ourselves.

How Integrative Homeopathy helped me: my experience

Back in 2019, I couldn’t write a to-do list due to brain fog/overwhelm from head injury. This is what I wrote to Katie iafter 2 years of receiving homeopathic treatment from her.

Now I can roughly calendar out my life a week at a time! Words were elusive and spelling was a struggle; now I can speak confidently, don’t have to rewrite emails 4 times before sending, and spelling is improving. God is so good and He used homeopathic treatment with Katie Cunha, to help me. Words can’t describe the differences in my mind… It’s like as I get older, instead of things getting worse, my mind is getting better! I have a lot less raw intense energy but now my mind works. Homeopathy is amazing!

I wanted to share how I had been helped with others. It was time for me to start my own homeopathic practice and my mom joined me: creating Radiant Homeopathy.

3 Keys to this Method

There are several pieces necessary in order to best use this method. If you are new to Katie Cunha’s method, I would recommend you buy her small but mighty book on Amazon and join her Facebook group called Integrative Homeopathy. Katie also offers online courses where she goes through how to take a case and more. I would highly recommend taking a look at Katie Cunha’s courses.

Here are some other things you will need to best help your family or if you are wanting to use this method.

#1 Classical Foundation in Homeopathy

The key to being able to narrow what remedy to give from 8,000 + homeopathic remedies that are available is to take a good chronic case. This is a skill and an art. Most of the training I received at Caduceus Institute was focused on HOW to take a good case.

And a classical foundation provides the perfect foundation for this.

You need to be able to fully take the case, have a working knowledge of Materia Medica and to know how to differentiate between remedies. Some remedies are very similar for different issues but have key differences. For example: Pulsatilla and Gelsemium are great for flu in children where the child has dryness and doesn’t want to drink anything. But Gelsemium is more quiet and reserved, while a child who needs Pulsatilla will be clingy, tends to cry and want mom to constantly be with him.

#2 The Skill of Muscle Testing

Muscle testing is using one’s own muscles or the subject’s muscle to test a substance to see by muscle strength or weakness if that remedy or substance is needed.

It is a skill that must be practiced. My mom and I have been using muscle testing (also called Kinesiology) since we were introduced to it by a chiropractor when I was in high school. Over the years, we have gotten better at it.

Check out my course that I wrote that dives into muscle testing and a variety of ways of how to muscle test as there are many ways and not every way works for each person. I also offer coaching sessions if you need some 1-on-1 support.

#3 A Remedy Maker

Katie’s method uses lots of different remedies in varying potencies.  Buying the individual remedies in the different potencies is possible, especially if you buy a kit. But the easiest way is get remedies in different potencies is to invest in a remedy maker machine.

This is quite a broad topic, so I wrote another blog post on this topic.
