Let’s continue with learning about the different methods. Why is this so important? Well, as the popularity of homeopathy continues to grow, it is important for you to understand that there are many different methods of using homeopathic remedies, as not every method works for every person.

In this series we will cover:

•           Classical homeopathy

•           Banerji Protocols

•           Narayani remedies

•           Tom Jansen’s Homeopathic Detox Therapy

•           Integrative homeopathy

Today we are going to be talking about Narayani remedies.

What are Narayani Remedies?

Narayani remedies are combination remedies used to treat a condition or a diagnosis. It was invented by a lady, Norma Harman.

Norma was dedicated to serving mankind and on the advice of Swami Venkatesa started The Venkatesa Mobile Clinic, a not-for-profit organization that performed health services on a no-fee basis. Norma was given the name Narayani in 1981. The clinics had already become very popular. Despite studying classical Homeopathy, Norma had to improvise her methods of prescribing due to limited time and money. There were many people in need of health care and her improvisation allowed her to visit clinics on a monthly basis, using combination remedies and simplified to serve the largely illiterate and low-income patients. So she developed a set of combination remedies which are called today: Narayani Remedies. For more information about her life, you can read at this blog.

There are over a hundred different Narayani remedies available, along with multiple books explaining the combinations.

My Experience with a Narayani remedy

In the fall of 2023, one of my wisdom teeth broken and caused extreme pain. It hurt all the time. I was camping at the time, and took several remedies, but nothing helped. I called my homeopath. She gave me a remedy called WAR; I found out later that it is a Narayani combination remedy. It was amazing. It took away the infection and helped my body to deal with the broken tooth. I had to take it multiple times a day for several weeks, but when finished along with using a cold red laser, the tooth pain was gone.

Narayani remedies are great for using when stuck and unsure what to give for a condition. It is a tool that I use at times in my practice to help a condition/issue when the remedies in the combination are not contraindicated by the client’s case.

Conclusion

Narayani remedies are similar to Banerji protocols in that it is easier to self-medicate as it is based on the condition versus the specific symptoms of the individual, especially if you are trying to do homeopathy on yourself.

But for deep lasting issues, working with a homeopath is key as often these remedies are needed alongside other specific remedies that target your needs and fits your unique picture as an individual.
