You see these tiny pellets and if you like me wonder: how does a flower like Calendula go from a flower to this tiny white pellet. How exactly are homeopathic remedies made?
It’s a careful process that has be done since the beginning of homeopathy with its founder Dr Samuel Hahnamem.
One of my favorite homeopathic pharmacies, Helios, has made a video that walks through the steps of making a homeopathic remedy for a plant or mineral source.
The process is similar when needing a remedy made from an animal, for example Lachesis. This remedy is made from the deadly venom of a live bushmaster snake. Dr Constantine J. Hering, early pioneer of homeopathy in the United States, was studying in the Amazon when he heard about this dreaded poisonous snake and wanted to make a homeopathic remedy out of it. But he needed a live snake.
Here is the account from Dr Murphy’s Materia medica
One (snake) was brought in a bamboo box. Those who brought it immediately fled, along with his native servant. Hering stunned the snake with a blow on the head as the box opened, then holding its head in a forked stick, he pressed its venom out of the poison bag upon milk sugar.
Then he prepared it the same way as you would a mineral potency in the Helios video, doing it all by hand.
This is partly why we see potencies like 3x, 3c and 6c as all the sucessing (hitting against a leather bound book) takes a lot of time. Once you hit 12c, potencies above 12c have no molecules of the original substance left, simply the imprint, which is intensified as the potencies get higher.
Helios (homeopathic pharmacies can vary) uses 10 sucessions to bring a remedy to the next potency level
So to prepare a 1M potency, we have to multiply 10 succussions by 1000 levels, and we have 10,000 succussions to make just a simple 1M. That is very time-consuming.
I am so grateful we have homeopathic pharmacies today that we can buy homeopathic remedies from as it would be a lot of work to do it ourselves, especially when it comes to mega potencies.
Mega potencies
These remedies are 10MM, 1MM, CM, 50M, and 20M. Because it takes so long even with modern sucession machines like Helios uses to create these potencies, some pharmacies will use radionic remedy maker machines to create these remedies. When this is done, remedies are generally marked with “rad” to denote that they are created by those machines
Jill Turland, the one who wrote the book “Getting Back on Track: Using Megapotency Homeopathy” used a remedy maker machine to create these potencies.
You can find traditionally made mega potencies remedies; Helios has invested the time to create them. And if I lived in the UK, I would probably use them often.
But here in the USA, where it is hard to get remedies, I have found that using a radionic remedy maker machine works well. My homeopath who treated me used it for years, and many other homeopaths that live in remote places in the world use them with success. My mom and I use remedies made from radionic remedy maker machines for my clients with good success too.

Remedy maker machines vs Pharmacy made homeopathic remedies
Let’s tackle some questions that come up whenever remedy makers machines are discussed.
Are remedies made on machines the same as remedies from a pharmacy?
I have been using remedy makers since 2021 and haven’t seen a difference between the remedies made on the machine and single remedies from a pharmacy.
I do have a collection of Boiron remedies and when I’m feeling lazy, I will grab one of them instead of using the remedy maker machine. I haven’t noticed a difference.
The exception is with combination remedies. If you don’t have a high end computer software based remedy maker machine, combination remedies that are more than 4 -6 remedies of different potencies are best purchased from a pharmacy.
An example is Allergena Mold mix. This is a fabulous combination remedy to help your body in the moment deal with the effects of mold. But its not as effective if copied on a basic remedy maker machine like a Sulis or Bionetix. I would just buy the bottle and use it.
How long do remedies made on a remedy maker machine last?
A few months ago, I asked this question in a Facebook group that was only for professional homeopaths and the results came back mixed.
Some people said that the remedies from a remedy maker only last 7 years, others said that the remedies were easily antidoted.
Homeopathic remedies made traditionally in a pharmacy can last a 100 years, unless antidoted by x-ray machines.

When it comes for how long homeopathic remedies made on a machine will last….
Bottom line: nobody knows for sure.
Personally, I don’t make up bottles of remedies from remedy maker machines to store. I just make the remedy when I need it, or make the remedies I need for the month. Generally I find its better for the body to vary the potency of a remedy, thus I make the remedy as needed.
